Area Supervisor Supervised 8 stores and performed Audits and night Audits (between 10:00pm and 2:00 am, Controlled cash, trained staff, developed staff, and controlled inventory. Responsible for the maintenance of the stores in my area, including the interior and the gas pumps. Required to investigate any cash shortages and report to my supervisor on the disposition of the investigation. Ordered the groceries for the stores at least once per month in order to make sure the managers were pricing their inventory in accordance with the company pricing levels. Audited the cash and sales in the event of a Robbery to determine the loss and made a report to the security division at the home office. Profit and loss responsibility for the area from Little Rock to Glenwood, AR (35 miles Southwest of Hot Springs). On call 24 hours a day. Each month, audited my stores' cash and balanced the cash receipts to the sales records for the month. Each quarter, prepared reports for management relating Profit or Loss for the quarter.

Trying to make inroads in the business side of insurance required day sales, individual sales required evening work. Continually "worked" 46 hours a week hunted leads in every conversation I had with anybody I met, whether in a business or leisure mode.

Assistant General Manager Started with the stadium as extra help. Worked into permanent help as Assistant Concession Manager.After 2 years promoted to Concession Manager. In July of 79 the duties of Purchasing Agent were added to my position. In January of 83 promoted to Assistant General Manager. Retained the management of the concessions and purchasing duties with this promotion. Duties included purchasing, inventory control, cash control (cash deposits of up to $100,000.00 per event), vendor relations, volunteer coordination, and relations with other agencies. During my tenure the concession sales grew from $160,000 to over $350,000 a 115% increase. I supervised from 8 to 35 people depending on the time of year. They ranged in grade from common laborers to accounting personnel.
